A Case Report on Diarrhea after Chemotherapy in a Soeumin Patient with Glioblastoma

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives: The purpose of this case study is to investigate the effects of Kwakhyangjeonggi-san on Diarrhea after Chemotherapy in a 64-year-old male patient with glioblastoma.
Methods: A 64-year-old Korean male patient diagnosed with glioblastoma was treated with Kwakhyangjeonggi-san. The treatment was executed two times everyday from August 3rd to September 27th of 2019. Clinical improvement was evaluated with Bristol Stool Form Scale and the number of defecations per day.
Results: After the treatment, the patient showed improvement in Bristol Stool Form Scale type. The number of defecations per day did not improve much.
Conclusion: The results suggest that Kwakhyangjeonggi-san may be an effective additional treatment for diarrhea after chemotherapy in a patient with glioblastoma.
